You mean hookup culture is entirely different. Not all gays are into the whole hookup culture thing, and plenty of straight people are. I had a guy be romantic with me just to ghost me after we slept together once and it hurt real bad. Didn't matter that we were both guys.

I agree with Erin on the ghosting thing! I was getting to know someone for a couple months, and she ghosted me for a month, came back to apologize and told me she needed space because that's where she was at in her life. (She is also a friend of one of my friends) And I said "I understand! I'd like to be friends still, if you want" then ignored me in public multiple times, and removed me on socials. When I told her, "hey, that hurt my feelings" I got no response. I think clear communication is key, especially whether or not you want to continue a relationship OR a friendship.
