Vi the Imp - "Whisking the War Zone" (FINISHED)

I'm hoping to follow up on this short, and do a continuation, and keep a story going for about 7 minutes-- so it'll be a 7 minute cartoon by the time we're done with all parts. In the meantime...

This one started when making a different Vi the Imp board for another day.
This turned into a different idea, where Reina comes down from the clouds to deliver a soul, and gets intercepted by Reaper and his army. Then the Earth army tries to shoot down all the demons.
And then Reaper comes in
Originally it was supposed to be Reina watching an already in-progress war, but I wanted to have Vi be the spectator, while Reina ends up being at the start of the war.
Vi pulls up her plan to intercept this battle, having timed Reina's 12:30PM appearance so she can down the Earth army and impress her comrades.
Most of these were uploaded to the Discord server, and more will be posted here soon, and as I continue progress on this.
A challenge of this series is showing sliced suckers, and not show any blood, so I had them be condiments instead. Captain Ketchup, Master Mustard and Sergeant MAYO will be relished by memory. Boom, still got it.
I've been watching a ton of Dexter's Lab, Samurai Jack and the Pokemon Anime, and it's given me some ideas on conveying action shots in a more simplified manner, which def helps with the time management aspect of animation. Simplicity is the best policy.
So here's a considerably squished preview of the shots that are finished. It's a longer preview about a minute. Power on the Gameboy Advance, and pop in the Vi cart.
So all I have left of this part is to add the shots of Vi rolling in front of the other soldiers, and dodging their shots. I still need to draw them noticing Vi's appearance, then falling in love. I'm likely to make this a two-parter or more. Possibly a full 7-minute thing in parts... we'll just have to wait and see.

This is due on this Saturday, and most of the SFX are done. I'm overall likin' this, though I do kinda wish I added a shot with one of the helmets coming off so I can draw a gross human. I also added an extra shot in the end where Vi slices up the remaining opponents, cuz there's no reason she just can't.

I finished up the ending card!
Might make these a staple of future Vi Bits, though that's not to say I won't be following up on this one.
I just gotta add this, update the ending tag, and add Heath's line, then it's ready for Saturday!

Vi is considered repugnant by imp standards. She's not as spooky as the other imps, which is part of their existence. So yeah, Vi knows she's kinda damn hot, but tries to be scary regardless... never seems to strike fear, so much as it attracts humans.

Yup, Souls in the underworld are like a fire or a fuel in how they're finite, so constant deaths are needed to keep the underworld up and running. When fully burnt, the energy goes back into the universe for the Cloudlanders up high to use for further soul creation.

When people die in "Vi the Imp", their souls and remains go to padding up the Underworld, which is why eyes and mouths are seen nearly everywhere-- they're still sentient enough to feel everything. Walls, dumbbells, and even shields are made of people who had their souls reaped by imps, and now suffer by basically being building blocks.
