I have been playing with a mix of them. 2D and 3D. For tunnels, stations, ships and even if you draw some "height lines" it will be enough. Don't make anything stop you playing!

Looking forward to the finale! Also a question (either for Trevor or other patrons)... I'm looking into getting Five Parsecs from Home, but have a concern. As I've never played a tactical mini game before, I don't have any terrain to speak of. It seems to be a pretty important element for elevations, LoS, etc. (versus a TTRPG, which a 2D hand-drawn map suffices). Any advice?
