It’s fantastic to see and hear someone acknowledge where they find inspiration and get some of their ideas and approaches from. Love One Ring, Mythras, Harn, etc. and the majority of the examples referenced here in this video. The Broken Empires is going to be an exceptional TTRPG. The minions opinion is interesting; there are 1 HP "grunts" in LANCER (a mech combat RPG), but the intent is actually to make the action economy harder. You are essentially a group of 3-6 'cavalry' hero units intervening in an armed conflict, so the asymmetry is quite intentional. No combat is random, at least in a well-run game. I think it usually works out.
