I've never heard of that, I'll give it a shot!
I was illustrating what someone might do if they don't know how to focus stack. Theyd expose brighter via either opening their aperture, or increasing their ISO. If you're referring to my ISO being at 400 in the other examples, that's the native ISO of my GH4's sensor, that's when it has the lowest noise. Did I address your concerns?

Not sure why you’d raise the iso when on a tripod either. Just change the iso setting to manual 100. Switch to aperture priority. F8. Then focus stack

One little bit of comment that’s an opinion. When you’re photoing the minis are around 2.50. See how the back row breaks the “horizon” just a little. Photographically speaking it’s usually stronger not to have that happen. Either go higher with the cam or lower with the cam. Stops the image feeling like it’s sliced in half
