Last week I skipped the BTS post because I was literally doing 1 thing the entire week: painting Drazhar. This is where I'm at:
This isn't the most up to date photo but newer photos don't show much progress. Needless to say, I've finalized the main body and am now onto painting the arms. I'm going to paint this model in my off-time and finish it slowly because now we gotta get back in action!
The beginning of this week I worked on the video that went out for early release today. It was a project I had been working off and on again for some time. I started it a long time ago, but delayed it because I really wanted to get a segment in it where I was able to actually interview Roman and ask him some questions. Today I began working on the "How to Develop Your Own Schemes" video, a subject picked by you guys. My initial run at the script was all over the place. I'm going to have to really spend some time in the script writing to make all my thoughts about this subject flow nicely.
I'd like to just level with you guys for a moment. Last week I was supposed to go to Adepticon but it was rightfully cancelled. At the time I didn't really think it effected me, but now that I'm analyzing this in retrospect, I think it did. Up until that point I was busting my butt to finish content so it would come out smoothly while I was at the con and not getting that "carrot at the end of the trail" kind of killed my motivation to do work. All last week I was moving so slowly and sleeping in. It's been really hard to get back on the horse but I'm getting there.

I'm with you I had a lot of adepticon events planned. Now I'm holding onto everything that GENCON doesn't get canceled
I know what you mean Scott. I am a therapist and many of the people that I talk with are experiencing the same thing. As a matter of fact I am experiencing it myself. My best advice is to be easy on yourself right now. Kindness and patience is the name of the game right now for all of us.
I'd say the last weeks have been (and still are) emotionally draining. Our brain uses A LOT of energy and worrying puts that some levels up. Its okay to get some rest.
At work we call those “mental health days”. Don’t worry about it Scott. Your dedication to your mini-family is spot on!
Looking forward to the upcoming videos (and the next podcast)! But don't feel bad to take the time you need. We're all in kind of a weird limbo right now. Take care of yourself!
