As always, thank you very much for the great work you do. Your health comes first so slow down and take good care of yourself🌸 I'm really looking forward to this and other games from you. Thanks for the great work❀️‍πŸ”₯

Thank you! *hugs* I know I sometimes set really aggressive goals for myself and then try to power through to them. It can be hard to step back and slow down though. Even when I know I need to. πŸ€•

I've tried to record myself before but I find it much harder to maintain a steady train of thought if I'm talking. I think I'm just really conditioned to type things out. 🀣 The only time verbalising ideas helps is when I'm in the shower - when recording them is probably not possible. Rofl! Darn shower thoughts.

Oh, sweetheart, I'm sorry to hear how difficult things have been for you. As someone who has suffered from chronic pain for 30 years, I understand completely just how draining it can be and how easily you fall into that mindset of just pushing through it all until it overloads you, if I had some way of avoiding that I'd let you in on it but unfortunately, I don't. Would you find it easier to use voice recording to get your ideas down in some form? While voice-to-text is an option, it doesn't tend to work great which is why a lot of people use someone else to type up their dictations which could be an option. I don't know, just a thought.

Dealing with the effects of chronic pain (or any chronic illness, really) is definitely brutal under any circumstances, but I'd argue moreso when you've learned how to power through it to some extent. You're absolutely not alone in finding it to be a kick in the teeth when it hits you too hard to push through, nor are you alone in struggling to rest "properly". I wish I could offer some good advice on how to strike a balance between resting and giving space to your brain to do its creative thing, but it's something I struggle with, too, and I'm not convinced there is a good answer, especially not a one-size-fits-all answer. Probably not a new suggestion, but all I can think to say is to do the things that your brain and body are making easiest and let the rest lie as much as you can while you can - which, again, easier said than done, and I'm sure it's not a novel suggestion. Whatever the case may be, I hope you find a way to take care of yourself while you're dealing with this. Obviously, I, like everyone else here, love your work and am excited to hear progress updates on it, but I suspect everyone else here will also agree with me when I say that your wellbeing is more important than that, and as excited as I am for everything you produce, I'm much happier to think you're taking whatever steps you need to in order to ensure that you're doing as well as you're able to, physical and mentally. I guess, ramble aside, what I'm getting at is that there are people here who care, and I'm glad to hear you're doing your best to take care of yourself. Oh, and for the record, the progress may not feel like a ton to you, may even not be up to the standards you're setting for it, but it's still fantastic to see from this side of the update. Thanks for keeping us in the loop! I hope things start looking up for you soon. Chronic pain sucks.
