Honestly, I hear you. It's tricky. Scars can go darker, lighter, or have varied toning across the scar...depending on skin tone, how old it is, and what type of scar it is. There's also skin puckering, and other other textures involved. And looking up references scan be...rough. @_@ Fortunately I have a few large scars I can use as a basic reference (the joys of being accident prone. Ha ha). Though my art style always requires simplification so I don't do the skin puckering or anything you get with real scars. I think that given Kav's skin tone and the age of these scars, they'd probably be way less visible but at some point I also have to consider things like whether the player will even notice really subtle details (especially since I can't control the brightness or colours on people's monitors) so yeah! Scars are tricky for sure. (づ￣ 3￣)づ

I respect how you depict scars. Scarring is always something I find tricky to depict effectively. Skin behaves in so many different ways when it scars that I'm never 100% sure what I should even be depicting, exactly, much less how I want to go about doing it. This is good, though. It's very clear what's going on, there's consistency in the style, it's visually engaging, so it adds to the image rather than detracting from it, and it blends in smoothly. If I could put a little clapping emote here, I would, but sadly, I can't, so you'll have to just pretend.
