It also doesn't sound like he spends a great deal of time grinding to level up, more like researching and plotting his next ritual. Even with that being said, given his age and level it would seem he has achieved a measure of imortality. Factor in his willingness to wipe out cities for mere convenience and he's arguably always been the 8th cataclysm just working in the shadows.

I love the layers of this conversation. She has her pride, and yet she also clearly cares about the people who were affected, as evidenced both by her words here and by what she chose to do. I'm guessing that Embralyne was already well aware of the point of dispute between Vivi/Vanguard and the Dragon King, and that it directly relates to the edicts she violated. Hopefully, if her actions result in any political or familial fallout for her, she'll know she could count on Vivi's support, even if she might not wish to.

Honestly, probably a good thing Dragons did not inform the mortal races about the Void/barrier given that most if not all the Cataclysms were created by them. Now whether they knew about it before Selrath-Kyn did is the other question. Kind of surprised the Fell Apostate is only around lvl 1500 when Selrath-Kyn predates the human kingdom. Granted it would not be surprising that the Selrath-Kyn are all on the Grand System's shitlist.

I doubt he gets mulched but I am relatively certain the Apostate's journey beyond wasn't as smooth as he would have liked. Especially since by all accounts the oracle was the preeminent ritualist of his time, presumably matching the apostate in his specialty.
