Some people prefer to follow the plot rather than just watching the visuals. Subtitles can help catch details and dialogue that might otherwise be missed. They’re also useful when background noise or commentary overlaps with key moments, ensuring we can understand what’s being said, especially if we haven't seen the movie before. I have watched shows and movies all the way through and cannot count the amount of times I miss heard something or missed something that would have changed the whole perspective of it all.

Yes, wrong. Not everyone is slow; many reactors I watch, including Alex, have reacted to foreign movies and TV with no issues. It sounds more like you can't read and watch something at the same time.

Thank you, I knew that. Also, Dub is short for Dubbed. My comment was a poor attempt to point out if he's already watching shows and possibly reading the subtitles (even if in english), it shouldn't a concern for a korean show.

I've never been a fan of subtitles, I find I miss what's going on as I'm too busy reading from the bottom of the screen. An option without sound would of been good, then we can just go old school n use our own copy, that way everyone wins.

I 100% agree. To watch on your own sub might be best (depending on your preferences) but for a reaction? I can already see the people who say sub complaining because Alex didn’t get something because he was talking or didn’t read fast enough 😅

I wouldn’t say that… I know someone who watched dubbed cause they don’t read fast and would miss stuff cause they couldn’t just watch it, they were trying to keep up with reading the subtitles. So in that instance, they were losing the experience cause of having to rewind for stuff they missed and it took them out of it.

Subbed is the best way to accurately get the emotions trying to be portrayed by the actors. Dubbed just doesn't come across the same and messes with the translations.
