I really dont think he will want or need to watch them twice. I started with the extended versions and I loved them. Judt because its how some people experienced them, doesnt mean itd the right way. All of the films with all of the scenes is just an easy way to digest it instead of the flow of the theatricals you know being cut into by extra scenes.

How would the audiobook reaction thing work? I’m really curious about that because I really love audiobooks. As for the polls. I think you could do a tri weekly thing. One week you have a genre poll, the next is a batch of random movies polls, and the following week do a sequels pull. Then cycle through that. We get to move forward in movie series, but still get the jumping randomness fromm the other's

Meaning it provides substantial critique, commentary, or parody. The Kleins used only three minutes of a five-minute video while offering direct, moment-by-moment criticism, frequently pausing to analyze the content. However, this does not justify playing an entire movie or TV show (10-180 minutes) unedited in the background, even with occasional commentary or a few random cuts (e.g., grabbing food or pausing 1-3 times, for 5-30 seconds, to ask a question to the audience). Courts have ruled that using a full copyrighted work with minimal transformation is far less likely to qualify as Fair Use (Fox v. TVEyes, 2018; Disney v. VidAngel, 2019). Of course, a plaintiff would have to argue this using precedent to reinforce it. Alex’s Fair Use argument is weak, in my opinion, primarily because he monetizes his content. A plaintiff could argue that people aren’t just subscribing for his reactions. They’re paying because he shows the full content unblurred. Multiple comments on this video confirm as much. If that’s the case, Alex effectively functions as a market substitute, further undermining his Fair Use claim. Since Fair Use is decided case by case, I’m highly skeptical he would win if sued. I also see Patreon tightening enforcement within the next year, especially if streaming services apply pressure. If a domestic or global recession hits, it will lead to declining consumer spending, and studios may crack down harder on unauthorized content to protect revenue. At the end of the day, I was just trying to warn Alex. I don’t want him to get into trouble. The Reel Rejects faced this issue before fixing it (they blur their content), and all I’m saying is that he should be careful. Sorry for the long response.

Zen… it’s not legal. Studios only tolerate reaction content (edited content) because it serves as free promotion and to go watch the full episode on the streaming service. There is a long history on this issue - since around 2015. Only 10 minutes of the original content was allowed and companies were very strict. That has changed over the last 2-3 years. With around 6,000 Patreon members (and it looks like Alex/Nova recently updated the About section to hide this - smart move) watching content from various streaming services, that amounts to hundreds of thousands of dollars in potential lost revenue each year (for each service). More importantly, it severely impacts analytics, particularly watch time, which plays a role in internal project management and executive decision-making. Imagine having a watch time KPI and not hitting it because a few Patreon accounts showed the full version, therefore drastically changing the outcome? You can do your own calculations using data sources like “luminatedata” to confirm, if you’d like. There are 3-4 other reasons I could mention, but at the end of the day, it’s an unnecessary risk for the entire brand of “Alex Hefner” for the sake of convenience.

Personally i LOVE the idea of the reedited reactions. I have never seen the older content, other than on youtube, because i CAN NOT watch in a watch along format. It horrendous imo. So however you deside to release it i'm thrilled. I think it's a nice idea to go with some variety with polling. Switch it up with regular polls and sometimes genre specific ones and sometimes sequal polls.

Definitely do a big dump of the revamped old content but on like Sunday night so people have time to watch the Thursday and Friday content before it gets (mildly) buried and either limit it to like 5-6 a week or do every single one in one dump.

Well, as much as I don't like to say it, Alex is already pretty much violating copyright laws. Dumping a bunch of stuff at once is a bad idea. There are lots of YouTube comments saying "join his Patreon, there are free movies". Doing this is very risky.. and obviously I'm saying this because I don't want him to have to stop making content.

You could do an "Old Content Day" once a week, and upload 3 or 4 of the old style videos. That way it doesn't really bombard, and it would be like when you do the animation wednesdays with 4 that day.

When he says new way of editing does he mean where we don’t have to watch him on once screen and the show/movie he’s watching on another ? Cause id love!!!! To see it on once screen fully cause I watch at work and can’t see the movie or show and his reaction at the same time for a lot of the stuff I wanna see him react too.
