So originally, the writers were going to make silco and jinx relationship a romantic one, but ended up going with the more emotional pulling father/daughter relationship, tocontrast the relationship between vander and vi.

All I'll say is that DC WISHES that Harley Quinn was as well written and developed as Jinx is, and I'm not the only one that thinks so either. And don't get me wrong, I like Harley Quinn, but Jinx is on a WHOLE other level in the best possible way when watching this, and Ella Purnell plays her perfectly.
