Stannis is the middle brother (Robert was the oldest and Renley was the youngest). Thats why Stannis believes that if anyone of out the Baratheons should have the throne, it would be him since he'd come before Renley. That's his biggest beef. And he knows Cersei's kids are all bastards and thats why he doesnt even consider Joffree as a contender

We need Brienne because she is one of the few purely good characters in the whole series. She is selfless, and the truly does have the Stark women’s backs. She truly is the “Oathkeeper.” 🙂

Brienne is fantastic character! I'm cool with her story arc/direction, as it fits well with the whole 'loyal knight' motivation. She really starts shining later after she meets her squire Podrick.

Always loved how it seemed like Loras was going to throw a tantrum at any minute.

Renly is the youngest. Stannis has him killed because their men were split on who to follow. Then he got all of them.
