This is a graphics engine and not a gaming engine. Unity are famous for making CGI shorts. It showcases the possibility in films now.

Regarding what you lot were talking about at the start, I work in the industry and it's definitely a type of animation, we call things like ADAM or Astartes a 3d-animated short film or cinematic. Typically companies make them pre-rendered but you can make them in game engines too.
