While I do agree the guy was at fault and firmly dug himself into getting arrested, I would think it’s fair say that the heavier set officer escalated the situation. However, that being said I think the situation was destined for trouble either way.

What nonsense this woman is spouting! The criminal was a huge guy and the cop was just a regular size guy. The best way to even the balance was to do what the cop did.

I get that not every officer is a good officer, but people need to stop using this same excuse to justify bad behavior directed towards officers. Most are just trying to do their job with no intent to hurt anybody.

Did she even watch the video? If she had, she would have seen EMS at the accident site and him refuse care from them. On top of that they had to take him to the hospital to get medical clearance before going to jail and he wouldn’t even let the doctor check him out. He was so messed up on drugs he didn’t remember what state he was in and at the hospital he was blaming the wrong officers for handcuffing him. In the end it was the female officer who put the handcuffs on him. There needs to be a new slogan to replace BLM…DLM (or DALM) for dumb*** lives matters. Most of these that want to yell BLM are dumb***es. But what do I know, I’m white?!
