Two days later, the deputy was found unresponsive on the floor of his residence. As a result of the incident, he suffered a torn carotid artery which caused a blood clot that broke loose and traveled to the deputy's brain causing a stroke.

It’s sad to say I know this but the positive thing here it’s better the cot traveled to his brain vs developing there traveling mean positive blood flow to the brain as one of the drs explained to me imagine overfilling a water balloon that tied off on one end, that knot now has left the water no room except out and thus it burst I did some research after my recovery I wanted to know statistics for survival rate survival rate for a blockage is higher than a burst and bleed odds significantly lower if it’d in my case both if I had one piece of advice for this officer as he recovers work with a physical therapist who won’t allow you to limit your participation depending on the damage it might feel better to not want to participate but push yourself and put the work in it will Al so help your mood

Yes but he’s not 100% capable of performing his tasks so he keeps needing to return to therapy
