Update on Thyroid Cancer
🕑 Added 2025-09-04 20:58:03 +0000 UTCAs many of you may know, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer on the 21st of August. I need my thyroid removed ASAP due to how quickly the mass has grown.
I have to pay 50% coinsurance and the center is requesting a security deposit of $7,247.75 (50% of what I’d owe in total).
I have had things hitting back to back financially and genuinely cannot afford this. I’m going to post a link to my throne and if anyone can help at ALL even just by spreading the word, I’d be extremely grateful, thank you 🩷

It's atrocious that you should have to pay anything at all for this LIFE SAVING surgery. I'll give as much as I can. Don't worry Mimi, I know you'll get through this. I just hope life without a thyroid won't be too difficult. I hear it's kind of an important organ.

This sucks. When my mom had cancer surgery (the treatment went well, though she still needs regular checkups, of course), not only did she not have to pay, but she received about 8,000 from her insurance (converted to dollars, although the purchasing power of that amount is higher in my country). This kind of money-driven approach in US when people's health and lives are at stake is crazy.🙁 Of course I will try to help.❤️🩹
