Oh dude that's cool to know! :0 As for thr US, I dunno if I'd say it's common! Fully pure-bred animals are VERY expensive, especially if you buy from a real, well accredited breeder who takes good care of their animals and don't abuse them for the sake of producing a "product", for lack of a better word for baby animals, so it's more common for people here to get their dog by adopting from rescues (many of which do spay/neuter and vaccinate the animal for little charge or free before they're homed), being given a puppy by someone who's pet got accidentally pregnant, or from some rando who CLAIMS to be a real breeder but isn't. A lot of the time the dog is clearly from a specific breed type but may not actually be purebred; having a legitimate, petigreed purebred is for people with money. TLDR: we have dogs who are obviously a specific TYPE of dog, but they often aren't purebred in the common household. Same thing with cats! As for large breeds, they aren't rare by any means but they aren't common either here, so for many seeing a large dog is still like seeing a unicorn here too! :) When we still had Koda and we'd take him out we always got stares because of how large he was! He was a good boy ;w;

So cute! Honestly I'm very surprise how in USA is so common to have a purebred dog/cat? Usually here in Chile usually our most popular and family favorite is the kiltro aka a mixed dog and cats... Well no many know the names, even dog/cats of "fancy blood" you can find them in rescue places it's really weird to actually paid for your dog/cat you have to go to a specialist, and in many rescure sites they usually offer free sterilization and sometimes vacuums. Oh but the large breed dogs/cats is like to see an unicorn.
