I moved from Pennsylvania to Alabama. The first week or so was rough but after that it's been relatively smooth sailing. I don't look back.

Yes, My husband and I moved from Abilene, TX to S.C. Wow! it was quite a move. Pace yourself. It'll be a good time to "de stash" which will lighten your load to move. Good luck on your new adventure.

I recently had a big move. It was stressful but a very well needed change. After my mom died the rest of my family abandoned me and my dad...well, he was actually quite abusive to me. So i decided to cut them free and moved 15 hours away. I'm originally from West Virginia but now live in Missouri. My boyfriend left his abusive family in Northern California and moved in with me a couple of days ago. I've been much happier since I moved and even more so now that my boyfriend is here! Good luck majira!

Hope the move goes well for all of you and that you will be able to adjust well in your new home! I plan on moving country before the end of the year hopefully. Planning on moving from Scotland, where i have spent the past 22 years of my life, down to the south of England where most of my british friends live Itll be a huge move, leaving my family home and moving out for the first time, moving to a new country (Yeah its only like a 5 hour distance but it is a completely different place) and being able to live close to my friends and those i care about and get away from my family and the mental stress they cause me Hope you all have an easy and enjoyable move to a new place with new horrizons!

Yes indeed, I lived in a house for 12 years and moved to a plot of land in a trailer, have to build a house, I miss living in a house, anyway, hope you have a good move majira

I still live within a bike ride of where I was born, and everywhere I've lived for all but six years of my life. I love to travel, but it's hard for me to imagine living anywhere else on a permanent basis because it seems like everywhere else is so much more expensive, and I'm so perfectly centered within most of the country that it makes travel really easy.

Good luck with the move! I've only moved no more than an hour from my previous place, so I can't imagine what moving halfway across the country would be like.

The farthest I've moved was from California to Nebraska (about 1,200 miles) and it was stressful at first for me and my family but after a few weeks of settling in and unpacking, it went pretty smoothly.
