Dianna shaves her head.
🕑 Added 2024-06-28 00:15:28 +0000 UTCDianna decided to shave her head to make it easier on herself for her journey with long COVID and ME/CFS. Many people struggling with this disease choose to do this if bed-bound for extended periods of time, like Dianna has been.
Hopefully she can avoid crashes, and reduce the amount of energy it takes to wash and maintain her hair every week. Millions of people are suffering from this quiet and deadly disease.
Thank you everyone.

It must be stressful to feel that you had to do it, but as far as we are concerned, it just proved that we love you for who you are, not just what you look like- although, you, including your hair, DO look lovely, of course.

Hang in there kid! Girls with shaved heads look punk rock, so don’t sweat it, just think of it as your counter-culture phase.

Diana, it may be such a small head, but it is definitely densely packed with an analytical mind with many more abilities & capabilities and such. Don’t fret about your hair, it will grow back as I do it every other year to donate to Wigs for Kids. I pray that you are on the road to full recovery. We all miss you, but not nearly as much as the ones that are close to your heart. We are grateful that you are blessed with such loving & caring people surrounding you.

You are still beautiful... we all have you in our thoughts...

I'm excited that we now have the same hair style, although I feel for you having to cut it off, it is devastating. I sympathise with you, I felt the same when I cut mine off (due to disability and the inability to care for it properly). I sent mine to a wigmaker who makes wigs for people going through Chemo (for free, she donates her time, people donate their hair). My aunt does this all the time, she grows her hair out, then cuts and donates, then grows etc... It's her way of giving back on behalf of all the family members who have had cancer.

You are lucky in that you look great with short hair. That said, I started crying too- I've had too many friends with cancer who had to go short, and I know how much that hurt their self-esteem. But...you don't have to worry about that because I think you are beautiful this way, and I am An Expert.

You look lovely! Nice hair do.
