About that Death... | The Last of Us Part II (Patreon Exclusive) / Share your birthdays!

yesterday right after recording The Last of Us Part II (that one part that I already posted last night), I decided to vent a little bit and discuss my feelings about... you know what. I mean at this point I'm sure everyone knows, but if that's not the case I'd rather not risk spoiling the game for anyone. Obviously there are some spoilers when it comes to the very beginning of The Last of Us Part II in that video. I wanted to talk about what that event made me feel and what I think about it in general. Let me tell you this. I did not love it. And I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Also, I wanted to ask you for a favour. A while back I asked you all to share your birthdays - I had a full list of these, but I lost it. Tried to recover it from Discord, but some of the dates were posted on the previous server that's no longer available. I'd love to properly execute birthday shout-outs so if you feel comfortable - please, do share your birthdays in the comments!

Playing that death sequence SUCKED. I was shocked by who really died, how brutal it was portrayed, and how tricked I had been. I was so mad I couldn't play for a while. But of course, I've kept going. Now I realize there was no one else better who could have been killed to kick off this revenge story. As depressing as it was to experience, I'm right there now with Ellie "to kill every last one of them." Someone mentioned somewhere that the story is about both revenge and empathy. If so, then I'm sure we're going to learn more about the killers' points of view. We may even see they had a point. I think that's fascinating. I think Neil and Halley knew exactly what they were doing to invest and engage all of us as strongly as possible.
