It doesn't actually have to be Chucky and his girlfriend in the dolls. I just thought it'd fit the theme if the two crazies behind this whole business ended up in dolls of theirs from the movies. Having it actually be them would have just been a bigger mess. Since it'd mean more horror movie characters are wandering around in that world. That world is messed up enough as is to not have more crazies in it that just won't stay dead.

I was going to use them but decided not to. There ara far too many evil doll movies to choose from and I decided to avoid them after the third rewrite.

I'm guessing the praying Teddy was one of the ritual sacrifices and all the evil dolls are the ass holes behind it. Fits the usual botched ritual theme. Now I'm expecting Chucky and his bride to be the ringleaders there.
