Changes to Patreon fees
🕑 Added 2017-12-08 01:06:28 +0000 UTC Ahoy dear Patrons,maybe you already know about this as the screenshot above states that every Patron should have recieved a mail at 7th December, but in case it didn't reach some of you I figured I shoud make a post about it to ensure everyone is informed.
Long story short, the new fee system ensures that creators get 95% of the money pledged, but at the cost that supporters now have to pay more.
Before the fees were substracted from the creators, which was fine for us, but now it get's added on top of the supporters.
We are not quite happy about it as especially lower tiers get more expensive now, which could mean that supporters that are on a budget might have to lower their tiers or even need to cancel their pledge completely, so if some of you have to lower your pledge or even cancel it completely we can absolutely understand that. Please don't feel bad about it if some of you have to do that, as we always say your own well being is more important than supporting our Patreon.

yeah, that makes pledging to multiple patreons pretty expensive :( but thank you very very much for your support! We are happy that you like our works :3

biggest annoyance for me is the "per pledge". If it was for my total of pledges i would be more ok with it. or if they charged just the percentage. With the flat fee, the more people you pledge to, the more you pay. Regardless I have been here since the beginning of the Patreon, and plan to do so for a long time yet. Keep doing you Ces and Wolf ;3

It’s a shame they grew too much and are now feeling a pinch from investors most likely. The increase won’t be that much but if you’re on a budget I can see some creators losing customers.

Agreed, it was a bad decision by Patreon.

Patreon effed up big time, I might cancel some smaller pledges later (not the case for my support of you but might be in the case of others :/ )
