I am not an expert, so the efficacy of it can be debated. The trophy hunters obviously are not doing it because of any ethical reason, but it seems like people use the money from bad people to do some good.

I’m not sure if I saw the same video, but I remember reading, or coming across information (no clue of the validation on it) that the money obtained through the trophy hunters is put back into more security against poaching. And in that same thing it said that the animal that is being hunted is either sick/wounded/very old. Personally, it isn’t for me, but if what I read was true, well, it definitely seems more ethical than just killing for fun and profit.

I like PETA to a point. They really do go over the top. They also made an anti Pokemon meme on Facebook. When I (and a few others) pointed out how ridiculous they were being and that Pokemon isn’t real and kids aren’t outside trying to capture wild animals or throwing toy poke balls they responded with an automatic response. It was just about boycotting sea world (I already do) and had nothing to do with the post.

Buckley, have you ever seen Adam Ruins Everything? There is a segment that proposes trophy hunting can actually be beneficial to those animal populations. If I remember, local groups can rid themselves of a problematic animal in exchange for large sums of money to be used for protecting other animals. It's not pleasant and the intent of the hunters is selfish, but it's an interesting argument.

Is this real? I dunno how #Blathersisoverparty may stop animal cruelty or aquariums smh

I do think animals should be treated ethically, I also don’t like the circus and refused to go with my family to horse race betting. But pumping out propaganda and lying is going to hurt the cause rather then help it.

PETA is absolutely insane. Why would they waste time protesting something in a virtual world instead of, ya know, real world problems? I mean, not that they do anything meaningful in the real world - this is Peta after all. They've been caught straight-up killing animals before but it's okay guys! They're superior because they're all about being vegan! (and profit)

PETA is so frustrating. They push so many people away from the idea’s of helping animals and being vegetarian/vegan. PETA is very all or nothing also, being vegetarian in not good enough, they push strict veganism instead of trying to get people to be pescatarian/vegetarian or even just eating less animal products in general. PETA is all about there is no such thing as bad publicity, but they just make fools out of an important cause
