But we still have to move along as a country, and sometimes we do that by just laughing about the absurdity of a situation. And so, I decided to go forward with a video I put together earlier in the week (before the shit really hit the fan). Enjoy this video a good 24 hours before the rest of the world. Wash your hands and don't lick anything I wouldn't lick.

Some people have claimed it's a level of "control", people panic buy things to feel like they have some ownership of something in their life. Why toilet paper? I think it's basically "monkey see monkey do", people saw other people doing it, and they're like "well fuck, if I don't, I won't be able to get any, I better buy a bunch". Some people then started doing it to sell it, apparently Kijiji (here in Canada, similar to Craigslist) banned that, anyone trying to sell toilet paper and kleenex is having their listings taken down. But I think people on Amazon were selling it for ridiculous amounts. I FINALLY saw frozen vegetables being cleaned out at the grocery store, people decided "hmm maybe I'll need some nutrition while I'm at home for 2 weeks".

I’ve been a germaphobe for as long as I can remember. I wash my hands and forearms like I’m prepping for surgery. You wouldn’t believe the number of women that don’t wash their hands properly after using the toilet. It’s fucking disgusting. But even I have not fallen prey to the ridiculous panic of stocking up on soap, sanitisers, or other items currently flying off of our shelves. I’m not using any more product than I use on a regular basis so why the heck buy more than I need?

Beautiful. The ending in particular was something I was thinking. Like, I wash my hands a lot (before handling food, after using the bathroom, after handling food, and occasionally even after petting my cats) and I still only have to buy soap maybe every couple months? Granted, my soap dispensers have large tanks but still.
It's kinda interesting hearing when you added stuff later on. IDK if it was intentional to not be seamless, but it helps show just how much stuff has changed over the last week, never-mind the last month.
I fucking called it when people started spreading that bogus '38% of Americans think Cornoa beer can give you the Corona virus'. No one fucking believed me. Hell I wouldn't buy Corona under any circumstances even if the Wu Flu wasn't a thing.
