Nup, I still think people who celebrate doing drugs and act like it’s the best thing since sliced bread are fucking idiots. If you want to do it? Go ahead, enjoy. But if you’re so stale a human that you have to make it your whole identity, you are a fucking loser.

When my state first legalized medicinal use, a Christian barber shop had a sign that said if they could smell weed smoke on you, they wouldn’t serve you. One customer came in to unconsciously test this theory and he went into this little tirade about oppression. I’ll never forget what the owner told him: “If there’s 45 minutes of your day where you can’t NOT be high, you need the kind of help that a haircut won’t fix.”

I’ve enjoyed smoking a few joints in my life (haven’t done it for a really long time though) but I would never celebrate 4:20 - I think just think it’s so tacky. But then again I’m not a fan of any unofficial “international day of...” or to be fair even offical ones for that matter. In fact even with all the public holidays we get (and we get quite a few in Australia) I enjoy the day off with no complaints but I don’t ever celebrate any of them aside from Easter & Christmas (from an entirely secular point of view).
