The somber tone at the beginning made me think this was going to be a way more potent song than it was. I assumed, based on the tone and lyrics about how excited the guy was, that she was going to be singing about her dead dad, and how she wouldn't get to impress him with her driving, or something heavy like that. I don't know what her actual parental situation is, the song just felt like it was going to be about a harder-hitting topic than some boy who broke up with her.

This song is so.... god... damned.... boring!!! It’s a pity because her voice isn’t bad but I’m so sick of this minimalist piano-ballad/mid-tempo (it’s always one or the other) stuff.

I hate shitty rhyming in songs, I did that a few times on my own but when I listened to this song via Autopsy I BEGGED for shitty rhymes, those lyrics aren't lyrics, it's just words being spoken with no syllabic or melodic structure. I'll take 10 millenial whoops over this shit

I think 14 year old me might have loved it because it was filled with the angsty heartbreak pop bullshit lyrics I would have been into back then. I can picture myself in my room playing the cassette on my Sony Walkman (yeah I’m old) over and over again crying over some guy who’s last name I can’t even remember anymore. But adult me doesn’t like it. I especially dislike the literal one note piano “melody”. That is just so lazy.

Such a lame song... Sometimes I dislike songs but can understand why other people do, and sometimes there are songs like this...
Todd usually does not have a consistent schedule so reviews of his can go on his Patreon anywhere between 1 day and a week prior. You consistently get them out there Saturday so you could beat him. It would be hilarious if both of you posted it the same day.

Literally just yesterday I saw early Todd In The Shadows review the same song. I personally do not like the song and feel it only “blew up” because it was marketed a certain way.
