Canada's legal marijuana laws have led to a lot of stores opening up. A LOT of stores. So many, that the NIMBY (that's "Not In My Back Yard") crowd are starting to get upset that they're opening up on their streets! Is this a case of "There goes the neighborhood!"? Are there actually too many stores, or just the right amount to meet demand? And who's REALLY to blame?

I'm told that's what happened pretty much at the start here too, when it first started they only gave out licenses to a very small handful of stores, and you had to order everything online (and apparently the prices were really high). I don't know if they've come down, to be honest I have no idea what a bag of weed's supposed to cost... I'd be the guy going "umm... one WEED please!" and they'd charge me $30 for a joint and I'd go "I guess that's right! Thank you Mr. Weed man!"

Tell you what, I am super jealous of the Ontario on line weed store - you have everything imaginable, and the prices are great. We finally legalized here in NJ but nary a shop has been open, so my weed money still goes into the illegal economy.
