I have heard every lame Christmas joke you can think of, and my friend's named Justin. We were 13 when Baby was released. After the fifth time you just roll your eyes. We were horrifically bullied, but pretty sure neither of us would class dumb "huh huh deck the halls" jokes as part of it.

I was a kid with the name Velma at the height of all the brand new Scooby Doo animated movies that wore glasses. It just builds character😂

Sounds like Special Snowflake Syndrome's at it again. Shitty things are going to happen to you, you learn to deal with it. Some people can't handle it. Those people are weak. Removing all the shitty things isn't going to make these kids better. It just makes them soft. Like I've been saying for years, "If you're offended by somebody's words, you're an asshole. Grow some thicker skin, and get over it."

Well, I’m a couple of years younger than Buckley and I know of, sadly, multiple students around my age… let’s see, 1 kid expelled from at least 3 different schools for bullying, 3 kids moved out of their respective schools at the time for being bullied and 1 case of suicide - and that’s just within the scope of a couple of smallish towns where total school population would have been around 3000 kids. (But that’s the UK in the run up to 2000, before any of the social media thing happened when it would have all been just messengers or chat rooms.)

dont wanna go the "kids these days.." route but I wonder what would happen if one of the bullies from the 90s (preserved in ice for ~25 years) started bullying today's kids, I think they would implode. The backpack on fire was a classic, as was showing someone's head in the extremely dirty school toilet. Shit was brutal back then but I never heard a story that someone was bullied to the point of suicide or changing schools. Even cyberbulling in the early 2000s was pretty rough on classroom forums etc. Still, you pretty much can't blame kids for this as it's most likely their parents fault for not raising little shits properly. So mine and Buckley's generation are to blame for this :P

I was named after the Winnie The Pooh character Christopher Robin, but the name was reversed, so Robin Christopher. I live in Winnipeg, birthplace of Winnie, grew up in the 80's and 90's. I was a bouncer for over 10 years, I liked my nickname of Pooh Bear. Just gotta roll with it, and own it
