Hey everyone, it's Bonus Dose day and today's video is one of those "I couldn't really believe this when I heard about it" stories that I thought I'd share with you. This is the type of stuff you think would come from a Sci-Fi writer, coming up with a story about a dystopian future where corporations have even more control than ever, but in a really cartoonish way... well, it's real, AND it's not that far off. Enjoy!
The repo business is a dangerous one. People want to hurt the person who has come to take your stuff that you can't afford anymore. SO, what if there was a safer way to do it, where the stuff just took itself?! Buckley looks at a bizarre patent filed by Ford for technology that would allow cars to drive themselves back to the dealership, and wonders if it's really about protecting their own merch, OR... cashing in on the misfortune of others.
