Hey everyone, it's Bonus Dose Day, and today's video is a weird one, and definitely going to be one of those topics where 4 people in my audience are going to be like "Wait, Buckley knows what Hatsune Miku is, AND knows about this concert thing?" What can I say, I read a LOT. But for those of you who DON'T know, don't skip this one, it's a really funny story (and of course, I explain who/what she is). Enjoy!
Buckley looks at the recent controversy around Hatsune Miku's North American tour. For those who aren't aware, Hatsune Miku is a "virtual performer" who typically appears in concert as a hologram (like Tupac, except no one ever shot her). However, Americans were furious to find out they've downgraded her tech, and want their money back! Buckley has an idea about who can help them...

The hologram is kinda fun, but for me at least, it's definitely more about what she represents than the character, and hearing what is essentially indie music live (the accompanying live band is pretty great). The reason it changed is the whole virtual concert industry has changed to LED screens because it's clearer, imo the issue is that it's not integrated with the staging at all

My son and I went to see QOTSA play in Melbourne in February and they were amazing!

Won’t be long until live musicians will be dead for good.
