Jake Paul's "entrance" to the ring was just EMBARRASSING. A lowrider and playing Phil Collins, LOL. Sure boxing has had its fair share of spectacles in the past but at least other boxers had some style and class to them. Jake Paul just turns everything into a stupid, "viral" TikTok video. Influencers are the worst thing to happen to boxing in a long time.

Boxing being 'fixed' is true but keeping it real Tyson in this fight was not the Tyson I grew up watching in the late 80s and 90s. He was old and if Jake Paul was a good fighter he would have knocked Tyson out. Netflix broadcast was horrible and they oversold the fight. To be fair the other fights before Tyson and Paul were better.

I also felt this call-out, although I was in highschool rocking the nintendo DS + youtube setup, and mainly because my mom was way too strict with the family computer otherwise. Frickin hard times, man!

I do know that but it feels like an exhibition to me. Well in the end, it was Netflix who caused the most disappointment.

I loved Mike Tyson Mysteries. Great show. This actually was a pro fight that counts on both their records though, exhibitions don't count. Tyson added a loss to his legit record and Paul gains a win.

I'm not really into boxing but I did watch some best moments videos sometime. Mike Tyson win my respect because of the absurd humoristic animated serie he made that knocked out the politically correct from the ring. Oh, and that wasn't a match, that was what they call an exhibition.

Years from now the fight is gonna go down in history as one of the most stupidest things Netflix has ever wasted money on they could have at least hired Hulk Hogan to smash Paul’s face in a few times he would have said yes!

I say it was staged as in Jake obviously didnt want to hurt Mike, but Mike also pulled several punches, even if they wouldn't do much damage. Either way terrible show, my friends forced me to watch it with them and they had to tell me "daddy chill" because I was getting AGGRESSIVELY drunk and yelling how bullshit this is. I've been boxing for over 2 years now so i didnt expect much from Mike but I saw people with a broken leg fight with more energy. As for old people in combat sports- I sparred some 50yo guys in our boxing gym and they would fuck me up if they tried. Same for judo and kyokushin karate, and none of them are anything close to active fighters, just some hobbyists. Sure, I'm not strong or dangerous in these sports and you would probably easily fuck me up in boxing if you tried, but Mike was terribly out of shape. My dad is older, almost disabled (he could get papers for disability with his fucked up back and neck) and he would've boxed three times better than Mike did.

I don't imagine they'll have the same size audience, but yes Netflix clearly needs to do something about the servers they use for live streaming. Just because it's available for free in replay later doesn't mean people will tolerate it not working (although I guess they won't have a choice if they still want to watch WWE, it won't be anywhere else).

Yeah it was a pretty strange decision. Sometimes the judges are harsher on the challenger, feeling they have to truly "beat" the champ.

As someone who knows next to nothing about boxing, the worst part of this event was definitely Taylor beating out Serrano. At least the video quality wasn’t yet so horrendous… 🙄
