Couldn’t agree more about Pygmy, the style of writing made it difficult to get through. Is it contrarian to like Damned? That’s one of his best too imo. Doomed not so much. His short story anthology Make Something Up is worth giving a go

Choke has always been my favorite, I used to really like Survivor but I tried reading it again a few years ago and just didn't enjoy it for some reason. But yeah he had a really solid run for a while, Haunted is also really good. And this might be slightly contrarian but I really like Damned. Like everyone else though, I don't enjoy Pygmy.

I feel like the best way to defeat these disgusting "trends" is with indifference. They want the outrage because outrage fuels attention. It's like Sam Smith singing crappy songs like "unholy" and the Christians get all hot and bothered. If everyone just shrugs their shoulders and says, "yeah she took 1000 dicks so what, I get fucked every day at work," then at some point the trend would just die off. Apathy and indifference, that's what I'm going with.
