yeah but you know what sucks about the basketball player story that basketball player might not be so willing to do that for somebody else knowing his jersey is just gonna be sold online and somebody might actually be a fan and want an autograph or a jersey and he’ll be like no cause you’re just gonna sell it

Thanks

Hey, just follow the instructions here to link your Patreon to Discord, and you should be all good! https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-us/articles/212052266-Getting-Discord-access

Kittythejackson

Not to be off topic, but how do you access the discord?

The only things I ever collected were some nerdy basketball cards from the NBA in the 90's and Spider-Man cards, a few X-Files cards when that show was popular and every movie ticket from every film I've seen since The Crow back in 1994. I doubt any of it is worth anything but I feel like the comic book cards had much better art in the 90's as opposed to the crap they are pumping out now. Would love to do a painting of 1994's The Crow, like a movie poster. That would be cool.

One of your best closing punchlines - saved it just for the Patreon mob. What an honour!

I think it sucks. No spontaneous childhood fun, just $$$.

These things used to also just not have any monetary value for the most part. Not at this level anyway, and not new cards. When I was a kid, if I got my favorite player's card, I was just happy to have my favorite player's card, I wasn't immediately thinking "Oh wow, how much money will this be worth?!" but this is how even kids collect cards now... they ask their parents for Pokemon cards, open the packs, and look online to see what the values are. A hobby turned into a lottery.

I have lived too long, obviously. Somehow, this is like a death of innocence story. Oh well, money has always been king, it's just that people used to hide it better.
