Hey everyone, it's Early Access Day! After last week's video, I thought we'd do something a little lighter, although I actually think this could end up offending even more people in some ways... it's a look at the "Labubu" trend. Not sure what that is? I envy you... but enjoy this look at adults who "just can't adult".
A look at the hype and hysteria surrounding Labubus, the hottest new toy of 2025: an ugly stuffed animal that comes in different shapes and colors, and everyone wants to try and get the "rare" ones. Sound familiar? Because it is. Scalping, fights in stores, fakes being sold by scammers, and satanic panic, Labubus manage to hit every collecting cliche. Buckley's got some ideas for the so-called "adults" who are driving these trends, as we ALSO look at the strange regression and arrested development of modern grown-ups.

In the 90s there was an entire movie about grown adults fighting over a toy at Christmas.

It's the same single geriatric millenial teenagers consuming all this crap that say kids these days are spoiled brats. "I didn't get everything I wanted as a kid and I turned out ok!"

I would guess it's because they don't really know what that is. If they were as mainstream in the US as something like Harry Potter, someone would do an article about them. I'm sure some churches have warned parents about their children watching Anime in general.

And yet, I don't hear these people up in arms about Shin Megami Tensei (also Persona), which literally has demons like Satan.
