This is just an announcement for the Backer tier that the newest version of Private Practice is now available for you to test out.
If you are a Beta Tester, Visionary, or Director and have the version from April 3rd, you do not need to re-download. I will also mention that if you were having a high infection rate (your Sims & NPCs were getting sick a lot) from the FIRST version, you can remove the mod entirely and play without it to wipe the slate clean, remove the illness buffs from the debug cheats, or you can let the game run its course until the illnesses eventually die down and you are no longer in a pandemic. 😅

I said something in the general chat window, but I would like to reiterate here if it's okay. I was at first overwhelmed with my family all getting sick at once (and only one at a time able to go see the doctor), but after a few days (realistic in my opinion) they gradually were all well and able to return to school and work. Automatic staying home sick was also really nice since I didn't have to stop them from leaving the house sick. Naps, surprisingly were also helpful. I hope it doesn't change too much as I am really enjoying my family hanging out being miserable together while they get well. :)

Another update to tone down illnesses again is coming soon. We hope that resolves it for you.

Even with the update my sims are getting sick with immersion breaking frequency. Would it be feasible to have an in-game settings menu that would allow the user to set the frequency of illnesses to accommodate for different lifespans and player preference? I love the mod in general, but my sims just STAY sick.

Thank GOD the "pandemic" was fixed. My sim got a cold then a stomach flue (which was super fun to play) and directly after that got dizzy. I was like "oh hellll no!" and came here to ask for a fix. Right on time!

Hi I am having a problem with private practice 2.0 ..I'm unable to enter the clinic because the lot keeps switching to residential when I'm not on the lot
