R|E 0.2.0 and Bills 0.5.0 - Quarterly Release (BETA)
🕑 Added 2022-05-08 04:26:04 +0000 UTCR|E and its counterpart, Bills, are now available for Beta Testers and up. If you are a Visionary or Director, no code updates are included with this release, and you are free to keep the version you've been playing.
Two things of note:
- If you have the MCCC console setting changed to enable free build, buildbuy on your Sim's secondary lots will be free unless you change this setting back.
- You are not required to use Bills, but if you want to play with this mod, please be sure you are using this test version, or it will not load and save your game properly. We always suggest deleting the old version, deleting cache.packages, and adding a new version in your mod folder to keep things organized.
R|E 0.2.0
Summary of Changes
We added/changed the following:
- Improved R|E UI: Some changes in the aesthetic look of the R|E phone menu. UI and notification system to assist in buying and selling homes.
- Improved Buying Process: Updates to include a more robust selling system to handle multiple property ownership as well as make the process more efficient for Simmers.
- Multiple Properties Management: The main attraction of the 0.2.0 update is the ability to purchase multiple properties even while having a rental as the main residence. This also includes managing all your Sim's properties from their phone.
- SNB - Bills Update: We wouldn't add the ability to own multiple properties without first also updating Bills to make sure your Sims are properly taxed and Billed. Be sure you have the 0.5.0 version of Bills in order for R|E 0.2.0 to function properly!

The itch pages allow anyone to see what's included but right now R|E allows you to buy multiple residences for your Sim to own. You could use the roommate system to get income from that but keep in mind that they will go to where you deem to be the Main Residence. We plan on working on Rentals next month.

Can't wait for the rental aspect of the mod to be implemented 😃 I think this is seriously by FAR my favorite mod!
If I'm not mistaken, it's also coming in the Financial Center update
So, does this mean we can buy a property and rent it out? Or is that coming in a future update?

Mortgages are not available yet. It will come with a Financial Center update that we are working on this month. If you use the existing Financial Center, Mortgages will show as hasn't been implemented yet. It should also show on the R|E closing screens. We will update both mods to reflect this change as soon as it is ready. In the meantime, be sure you have enough money in your Household account to make the purchase.
Help me to understand, I believe I am with the visionary. For the new update, where you can apply for a loan through the buying process is not allowing me to do so. It tells me that my sim does not have enough money. I thought its suppose to bring me to where I could apply for a loan and or put a down payment down.
