Got divorced and got my own place when my daughter was just 5. As much as it sucked at the time, the silver lining was that I got to spend a lot of one on one time with her that I never would have had otherwise. I have so many fond memories of that apartment and all the fun I had with my little girl during those years. She's 20 now and all that time together has really paid off in the relationship we have now.
