Chocolate Cake w/Protein Icing

I posted a video making a cake with a can of diet soda and SO many people requested a high protein icing to go with it. So here we are!
This time I did a chocolate cake and opted for a cream cheese icing. If you want more of a whipped icing, the cool whip and protein powder hack is a great alternative! And remember, you don't always have to make everything high protein. Adding just some cool whip on top is perfectly fine too :)
Please be sure to read the notes page of the PDF for substitutions and recommendations for those of you that have an aversion to the aftertaste of zero calorie sweeteners.

I omitted the icing and went with the cake, topped with zero sugar reddi whip, and sprinkled with crushed candy canes is delicious! Just thought I would share.
This is legitness. I only used one scoop of protein powder. I used the gnc sustained release Girl Scout coconut Carmel. So good. I am already planning a vanilla version. White cake with diet cream soda. Icing will be cream cheese, vanilla protein powder. And milk or half and half for the liquid.

The cream cheese icing did not turn out great for me. I loved the cake. Perfect texture. Will def try the cool whip with protein powder route next time. Also crushed and sprinkled some quest Reese’s to add on top 🤭

The protein cool whip hack is a good alternative if you want something lighter.

As Michelle said, cool whip is a good alternative. Low calorie and you can actually mix in some protein powder. I have a video on TikTok showing this.

Yes any carbonated beverage.
I liked the cake. It was really moist. Not a fan of the icing though. It was too think. Maybe I will add some milk to the icing.

Dang. I was excited until I saw cream cheese frosting. I unfortunately don't like cheesecake or cream cheese frostings/icing 😢
what can we use instead of diet pop? I don't drink pop and am pretty sensitive to the aftertaste of diet pops

Hands down THE best chocolate cake I’ve ever had!!
I suggest using any dark cola and not a clear citrus soda, unless you like lemon and chocolate together. For different flavor combos, you can google Soda Pop Cake recipes. Super popular southern dessert that's been a round a long time.
