This one legitimately made me cry. I lost my mom on Valentine’s Day. I threw myself into work to keep my mind occupied so that I didn’t lose myself and let’s just say there has not been a day where I haven’t sobbed inconsolably. The last few weeks have been harder as her birthday just passed. I became quiet, dissociative and overall depressed these past few weeks which is unlike me. I wasn’t with her when she took her last breath as it was unexpected and I had just talked to her hours before she passed. That has haunted me since the day she left this earth. To make things worse, my family has blamed me for it, citing that because I moved out of state to pursue my career, I left her to tarnish. It hasn’t been easy at all. It’s not easy. And the pain doesn’t absolve. Thank for you this.
