The Story
🕑 Added 2024-06-13 01:58:43 +0000 UTCOne of my bar friends invited me to come out, and I had a bad day so I decided to go. Plus, Vero kept bringing me his leash because he wanted to go on a walk.
it’s a 1.5 mile walk, and as I got closer, I became dizzy, and my remaining vision became much more distorted than usual. I got very fatigued and my back and entire body began to hurt.
I made it all the way to the bar and sat on the ground outside and drank water trying to feel better. My head and throat were also hurting at this point, and my body pain continued to intensify. These are less common and less known symptoms of appendicitis. I thought that maybe I had Covid or the flu and that I should go back home and rest.
However, I was so disoriented I didn’t think I could get back home and I was struggling to use my phone except to make calls. My heart rate was unusually high, according to my Apple Watch, and would not go back to a normal rate.
When my friend arrived at The bar, they took me straight to the ER. They ran some tests, did a CT scan, and realized that I had appendicitis. They were very kind at the Kaiser ER, and made sure to give me sufficient pain medication while I was there. I went into surgery about 12 hours later, and all went well! I’m in pain from the surgery, but I feel much better than when the appendicitis hit me.

I feel you. But what’s crazy is trying to run all your errands, take care of all household priorities, record your own content, take your own pictures, edit, and post them without any help…. All while being blind. I’ve done what I could to improve myself, maybe it’s time to point the finger at the mental health system for not providing me the help I deserve and have been begging for. You’re upset that I don’t post consistently, and I feel that. But I can’t even eat or sleep or post on my main feed consistently. I did not come from privilege, and I didn’t get all of my needs met. And now I’m finally picking up the pieces.
