I was noticing the same continuity problem, the first description of Alicia has her wearing glasses. This chapter talks of her not wearing them. Hope you can correct before publishing this second book.

Continuity: Just noticed on a reread that 1998 Alicia is described as wearing glasses twice in earlier chapters but doesn't wear them here. (Or is there a Watsonian explanation for that?)

Yes, I second this concern. Song titles and artist names are always okay, but lyrics are almost always NOT - it kinda seems like the only fair use case for song lyrics is when you're doing analysis of them. There's no, "But it's a very short bit," fair use exception for song lyrics. See if your publisher can get permission to use the excerpt - because it really appears to play a key part in this chapter (which unfortunately makes any "incidental" use argument that much weaker. Talk to a lawyer - ideally one specializing in licensing copyrights.

Nice chapter! Just a wee warning: I’ve seen another author who had to rework quite a few chapters where their characters were quoting from songs. Apparently that author ran into copyright issues for the song lines. I’m not any kind of legal expert qualified to judge what is or isn’t acceptable but I’d hate to see you run into those kind of problems with this chapter. I really like the chapter so I hope you don’t have to change it.

Ooof. I hope Elena doesn't follow through on that "Julie and her dad are actually code for Tabitha and her dad" idea. Mr. Moore has been awful to Tabby, especially w.r.t. Aunt Lisa, but he certainly doesn't deserve to be accused of that.
