FortySixtyFour

It's currently mid-December 1998 in the fic, another Bush won't take office for over a year.

Thomas Stocks

I remember Alicia thinking that Tabitha got it wrong when she mentioned that 9/11 happened during a Bush presidency because the Bush presidency came before Clinton's.... She never brings that up again.... Hey, aren't humans on Mars in 2045?? Just sayin'....

David Ford

I do find it a little strange that the dad seems to care so little about his daughter living with other people. Honestly just a complete moron.

Jabes McJabesface

I find it even more common that people will just not make the choice. As here, either Lisa is doing heroin or his daughter planted evidence, he will choose to not pick one even though one MUST be true, because then the hurt of believing either of those is deferred.

Thanks for the chapter! You really don't have to stress about anything like upload order, the story is amazing and something like that won't change it! I think once the court ruling comes Mr. Moore will accept he was wrong and I hope the two "police families" will be able to recognize that their extreme meddling may actually have made things worse, not the whole getting Lisa arrested, but then trying to play "impartial mediator" in the family meeting. Because that's what was needed, someone really impartial to look at the facts and just ask Mr. Moore the questions: "You see this and this fact, don't you think it suggest that..." and not two women who seemed in some way more interested in "punishing" the father and get to "admit" he was in the wrong, then actually establish a good solution for everyone. I don't think the two of them wanted that, but with their extreme dislike of Heroine and their liking Tabitha it was nevitable to bleed into the discussion through their attitudes!

Gopard

Honestly, I feel like once the court establishes the two as Guilty as charged he will come around. In many ways he wasn't destructive or delusional per se, but just first of all doesn't have ANY experience with drugs obviously and got brought up in a way making even the suggestion of an adult FAMILY member doing something like this "impossible" for him. But he won't ignore court ruling or something, since they are completely unrelated (even indifferent city) while the police in this case could very well seem personaly biased in his view, considering they took in Tabitha immediatly. And honestly the way that the two Ladies went about it wasn't all that, healthy for Tabitha. Yes get her out maybe, but at least tell her she should talk to the parents and not take a position of "If they won't listen to you just stay with us, you don't have to deal with them like ever" that's extremely unhealthy psychologicaly and this talk should have happened as soon as possible.

Rande Knight

A unfortunately common way of thinking. You've got it down right. Some people will try to make the most ridiculous and unrealistic excuses for their loved ones...that if there's even a 0.00000001% chance of innocence, then they'll grab hold of it and not let go.

Alfredo

Thank you for the chapter. Mrs. Moore should really get a say in this too.

Mocherthrath

I actually hope that Mrs. Moore ask to come with Tabitha. Mr Moore needs a wake up call and She needs to spend time with her daughter.

Matt

I hope Mrs. Moore talks some sense into him, but it may take seeing Aunt Lisa try to frame Tabitha for it to get through Mr. Moore’s thick skull.

Artman

Heh, should get a copy of one of her interview tapes. After the plea deal is over, may be enough to crack that thick skull. After the case is settled it becomes.. hmm, you can get a copy of a police report or court transcripts. All of that is available to the public, may be some things involving minors that is kept confidential, but beyond that? Anyone can get a copy, may need to pay copying fees, which can become expensive for bigger cases. A burglary report is usually less then 10 pages, a murder case? Can be hundreds if not thousands.

Undead Writer

He’s right. Good stuff!

Dashinhi

FortySixtyFour, please don't stress about posting these fragments out of order, mate. And the same goes for them being fragments - you're posting as you work, and I appreciate that you're giving us these advance glimpses. It certainly won't detract in any way from my enjoyment of the finished chapter, and it gives us the opportunity to go back and do some comparison of the multi-person scene to see how it changed as additional viewpoints got layered in.

Undead Writer

Thanks for the chapter!

The Dapper Lemon

Woah there, let's leave politics out of this eh? No need to kick a hornets nest when we're all here to enjoy a damn fine story.

How the hell does a guy like Alan not come off as a future Trump supporter? Or is he dead before 2016?
