Hard agree. This is wonderful, I'm enjoying the heck out of it

AZ

I'm sorry, but I want a whole book of this. A few time skips here and there, but this was too wholesome to miss out on.

Prometheus

At this point it probably doesn't technically count as an "Epilogue" anymore(epilogues are 1 chapter, 2 max). Granted, does that make it the prequel to Renfaire Fantasy? Sequel to Anime-con? Pre-sequel? Fuck It, Just make the transition period's title an evangelion reference and no one will question the weirdness.

Keep in mind also that any number of these moments could be flashbacks in the next volume, if that helps any.

BS91

If it's writing itself to be this good, then... maybe this should just become a whole 'nother "volume?" Do we really need to not see an integrated Christine until after everything's already resolved(-ish?) at RenFaire?

I've been finding in the last few years that I'm more seeing stories as character development justified by a plot line and less a plot line that needs character development. Heck, most of real life is boring and pointless other than the people in it. As long as you keep the plot thick enough to hold it together, I'm liking the way things are going. Not that I'd complain about more action, I like that to as a vehicle for exploring characters.

Just some advice here from an old fart: As someone who is in a relationship that has lasted 30+ years and still going, you DON'T have to give the audience EVERY SINGLE THING in everyone's thoughts. We all have about a million different thoughts every day and the vast majority of them are forgotten instantly. The only things that we, as the audience, need to be made aware of, are the thoughts that have to do with the plot. If you want to dive into Kelly's past or Brian's trauma, GREAT, do that! However, we don't necessarily need to know what everyone else's views on that topic are unless it affects the plot. This is my suggestion for not letting the story go off on wild tangents, but then again, I'm pretty ADHD myself, so take all of this with a grain of salt.

The entire Epilogue is a beautiful denouement. I don't really see these parts as after the story. They are calming things back down and truly resolving the problems that came up in the book. Showing that the characters continue living and growing.

Cherish and enjoy it, along with us ❤️

Hey Forty, long time I didn’t react to one of your post. I am still reading but life has been a bit complicated. By the way, good luck for finding a better home :-) About the part/book, Don’t rush it, as I saw someone else say it. That was a nice part. I enjoyed it a lot. It gives a lot of insight into the characters, which is especially nice with Kelly which is complicated. I would just have to go back a bit to see the evolution of her character. I feel that This is kind of a major change for her to realize that she wants to stay that way and not being afraid of ruining everything and being in the mindset of waiting for that, or being ready to take off if anything start to be wrong. I assume that having Brian hurt, living in his appartment, waiting for me, probably gave her enough time to think. And god knows that she has sufficiently been beating herself in the AnimeCom Harem book. But I just wouldn’t want people saying “oh fine, now she is ok, just like that :-)” Except for that point to be checked, i really think you should keep it.it is good Now, I can’t wait for psycho part, and the orgy damn it ! :-D Keep up the (very) fine work Sebastian

Thanks for the update Boss. Have a great day. I love that Brian isn't a fan of putting Ricotta in lasagna. Neither am I 😅

Diego

For what is worth, I think this scene was needed. Just before being beaten up Brian was obsessed about the whole 'consent' angle of the charm and it would be strange if the concerns were dropped. I guess Kelly's point about the mind control of the charm being a lifeline and not shackles is spot on.

Zeikfreid

To put this in a different perspective, these lighter bits are definitely needed after how stressful things got with Brian being injured. It's like aftercare from an intense session, might not seem needed but it is very much appreciated and useful.

Cliff

"parts keep writing themselves. Don't know what to do. Send help." 😂 😂 😂 The opposite of writer's block? Send some of that energy to GRRM! 😜

Sean

I love it. The whole focus of one big event joining everyone together and having them all work out how to make a harem function on the fly would naturally have a lot of dialogue. A lot of decisions that feel small will add up to an elaborate state of normalcy. I think a lot of stories that include a harem basically hand wave all the actual nitty gritty away and it ends up feeling artificial and forced. That being said I'm enjoying watching you try and figure out how to name what feels like 30+ chapters all with some variation of epilogue in the title lol

Bammerman

Don't rush it. These little conversations are such an insight into the characters and their relationships that I find it only adds to the story. After the heaviness of the ending of the con into how they are going to move forward moments of levity and heartfelt conversations just bring your characters to life.

Justin Parks

Thank you for the post! Your writing/posts are always engaging and are meaningful additions to the story. I know (or get the vibe) you’re trying to wrap up AnimeCon and transition to RenFaire, but I want you to know how much I appreciate the amount of detail you’re spend bringing things to a state of semi-calm needed for that transition.

Zaralith

I just can't wait for the payoff from the first send about be kind to Christine and also the payoff of Brian with Rebecca/Mara. I can't wait for Mara being the hot dommy mommy it sounds like she can be too break Emily's brain in a way she didn't know she also wanted.

SabeloMen

Always happy to see more slice of life content. Even if it doesn't move the story forward, it's comfortably cozy and helps the characters breath.

layer1

Don't know what to do, send help Yeah? Keep writing. Granted, making lasagna isn't exactly an epic quest (even if eating it feels like reaping the rewards of a end game boss fight.) Even so, Kelly's gotta talk it out some until her comfort zone moves to her new address, so to speak. Emily has to be a bit manic because she got her Bri back. It's cool. Personally, I just enjoy the writing, so feel free to drag things out.

FortySixtyFour

I wouldn't even think about Angela until the series after Renfaire Fantasy, lol. That one was just a very very VERY early setup.

FortySixtyFour

Whoa, harsh. You think Stephanie will just hate their lasagna?

mhaj58

Loving the direction you’re going with Emmie Kelly and Brian. Looking forward to seeing Stephanie. I’m wondering about Angela, is she a loose end? Will she appear in the next stage of the story? Or is she just a plot hole?

Piotr

Q.Q Can't wait for Psycho confrontation.
