Is it that we have a lack of courageous people willing to tell the truth, or a surplus of stupid people? The myth of free will is at play here, because it’s easy to dismiss one group’s perspective as merely just “immoral and evil” when you invoke free will and view everyone’s actions as distanced from their circumstances, instead of viewing people’s actions and responses as results of material causes. Very few Americans know much about the history of Israel so unfortunately the, “well it’s simple good versus evil, clearly” history-removed perspective is much more convincing to them. Depressing time.
