A Flame Awakened Chapters 3 and 4
🕑 Added 2023-09-15 17:40:17 +0000 UTCI said in my notes yesterday that I'd be releasing these chapters today. Slight problem, I miscalculated. I usually let my polls run for 10 days and there's still a day left in the poll to decide which Hufflepuff will be joining Harry's Coven (If you haven't voted, go vote in that poll!) I know that poll isn't close (Understatement of the year, lol.) but I have a feeling future ones to choose Harry's partners will be (I mean, who knows, I could be evil enough to make you choose between Fleur and Tonks!) and I want a degree of uniformity in all polls so everyone gets a chance to vote!
As such, the chapters will be released on Sunday, because whoever the Hufflepuff partner ends up being is mentioned in Chapter 3 and features prominently in Chapter 4 (I have parts for all 3 characters written but I have a pretty good idea which one I'm going to use. Lol)
So, why this post? Well, to tell you about this and for one more reason. I said I'd let you all decide who you want to see featured in Harry's Coven. I've decided the number is going to be 7 (I like symbolism). So that's Daphne, Padma, and 5 others that you get to choose!
I also mentioned in Chapter 1 that I'm grouping all characters in different groups so I can plot this story methodically. So I thought I'd ask for your suggestions/requests about the characters you'd like to see in these groups! Maybe I forgot a character or maybe you like the way I write a certain character and you want to see them included in this story. Comment below and mention the group you want for the character! Here's a reminder that Espresso Tier and above will be able to vote in the polls to choose the pairings!
The groups are:
- Hufflepuff (You already have the options here. The character will be the heart of the Coven.)
- Gryffindor (A counterbalance to Daphne. Where she likes to plan everything, this character will encourage Harry to be bold.)
- Quidditch Player (Someone with shared interests that Harry can relax and destress with.)
- Foreign Witch (Always good to have Allies in important places, yes?)
- Older Woman (Someone who is perhaps lonely, needs company, and will be a source of information for Harry and the others!)

It would have been fun for you to maybe not include Susan in that poll, put her in a separate one with other girls who are commonly in your pairings to make decisions harder. Would have been interesting to see a new girl with different characteristics (Megan is completely unexplored so you could have gone anywhere with it) Really enjoyed chapter 2 and like the idea behind this story. Harry as a high potential wizard but just unfulfilled potential at the story’s start is a great angle to take. Growth Arcs are fun I can definitely see potential influences helping him become who he needs to be. Cheers!
