This week on Board Game Club, you may know that we are playing Captain Sonar! Oh we really mulled that decision over. It's not an easy game to film, but how could we not try to play this iconic board game for you all!
We played the turn-based version in our public/uncut episode but we have also played a REAL-TIME episode only available to you, our lovely patrons.
This REAL-TIME episode will replace the online Board Game Club this month as we have received feedback from you all that you love an extra BGC filmed in the studio once in a while.
We really hope that this episode inspires you all to play this game in REAL-TIME because it is a bunch of fun! Our cast begged for 'just another round' - IT'S ADDICTIVE!

A great episode, although I'm glad I watched the 'free' one first (and not just because you guys spoiled the ending on that one). The graphical overlay was the MVP of the episode though; I would have been more lost than Rosie trying to watch it otherwise.

It was very watchable, I loved it! The map overlay tracking the sub’s progress was especially helpful but the audio element was absolutely fine too 🙌

I think you should consider releasing this on your regular YouTube channel. It was quite good and easy to follow along, I thought (though I have played the game a number of times, so perhaps colors me a bit).

Watchable! I know people have brought it up on the youtube video, you are meant to declare your sector during a surface. Just wanted to mention it here because Rosie and Blair were having such a rough time of it. The extra bit of info helps but it'd be very clear to them when a surface happened if that was also declared.
