I mean, if you know there's a lunatic on the script, and are then told you're the demon, but not that there's a lunatic in play, there's a decent chance it's you. You technically can tell the lunatic there's a lunatic in play, but then the Storyteller is basically guiding the kills instead of being an impartial third-party.

Getting a regular BotC and a Patreon BotC once a month is great, but having the Patreon one halfway through the month would be amazing. Then paying members wouldn't have to wait so long between episodes

You can actively choose to not play games that don’t involve roles that don’t know your alignment or change alignment. There’s not many in the game and there are people who play a lot that have the same opinion as you and just opt out of those

If we have a Leviathan or Zombuul game, then that would make it better to have a Lunatic seeing a Lunatic. Leviathan doesn’t do any night kills, so that wouldn’t interfere with the ST picking kills, and Zombuul only picks sometimes so that’s a bit better. I’ve seen a BMR game with the Lunatic seeing a lunatic and depending on the demon type they see and what the actual demon is, it works sometimes.

This was such a good game! I will say that since they want a convincing lunatic game, I feel like they do work best with marionette, poppy grower, and magician and the more of those the lunatic thinks are in play, the better for them believing it.

It's the top four roles listed on the trouble brewing script, which happen to be the four first night info people (chef, investigator etc).

You can 100% do that, but it means the storyteller is feeding them the kill which is a roll the ST shouldn’t be indulging in usually.

It's crazy how insidious the presence of the Lunatic is on the script. Since there's a demon in every game and only a Lunatic in some, the person who is told they're the demon is mathematically more likely to actually be the demon than the Lunatic. But it seems like about 75% of demons and Lunatics think they're lunatics off the bat.

Nah… this script is not it. The trouble brewing townsfolk are too powerful to have with a marionette and lunatic. Evil didn’t really stand a chance. Mara should’ve blew off Blair at first.

It's not the losing that's the issue it's the fact that I'd feel cheated knowing I'd had zero impact on the game and had might has well have just sat silently doing nothing. Not knocking anyone who feels differently, it's just not for me

The way Tegan was so excited to have used her power was like watching a kid think they are playing but their controller wasn't plugged in lol. Didn't Blaire have enough info to figure out that she was the lunatic a day earlier?

Laurie is wrong. We have had Lunatic work on NRB. Jon was the Lunatic in Couple Goals and Sullivan was able to convince Jon he was the demon despite giving him an impossible grimoire. Now that I think about it, he might not have been in that episode.

I wish Ben would do it more often in that case. Or at least use a script with Magician/Poppy Grower to at least obfuscate the fake evil team from the Lunatic.

It can be done. It's often avoided by storytellers though because it results in the storyteller kind of controlling the demon kills, but it definitely can and has been done.

I wish there was a way to bluff to a Lunatic that there was another Lunatic in play, because that seems to be the only way to make someone believe they aren't the Lunatic.

I think if you are concerned about the end results to that degree, you are probably doing it wrong. Relax; have fun lying to your friends; have fun figuring out which are your friends is lying to you; That's BOTC.

I think this video sums up why, even though I like the videos, I never want to play BOTC. Sam was on the losing team when he literally could do nothing about it.
