Felony Friday - Lethal Force
🕑 Added 2020-09-18 04:29:44 +0000 UTCTwo contractors building a deck for an elderly couple in a posh Brookeville, MD suburb are surprised when a disheveled woman comes out of nowhere, frantically asking them for help. Her husband has been holding her at gunpoint all weekend, and is now hot on her trail. He is coming to kill her, and has no plans of surrendering. When police eventually find out who the suspect is… they exercise extreme caution before entering the neighborhood - but by then, it is already too late.

This was a rough one to listen to. To hear the husband screaming just broke me. And the wife….bless her soul. All of the victims here. Been a long, long time since I’ve had a podcast make me cry!

...I just don't understand. Even the gun protocols you guys DO have in place don't work. No thanks. Sure, we have guns in Canada and you bet bad things happen with them, but no one is so armed that even SWAT is concerned about going in. This level of personal arsenal will never be necessary and all it does is bring death and destruction. Those of us who follow true crime consistently and have done so over long periods of time know that bad guys with lots of guns equals disaster. I can't recall ever thinking to myself I'd like to have one gun for protection even if it means some other person can have dozens. It's absolute insanity and I am thankful for the laws we have here. Those poor families. What a senseless waste.
