Felony Friday - Really Bad People
🕑 Added 2021-08-14 19:00:59 +0000 UTCOn a chilly Spring morning in Illinois on April 18th, 2019, former attorney, 59-year-old Andrew Freund Sr, awoke early to go to a doctor appointment. When he arrived home, he was preparing to make snacks for his children, but hadn’t seen his 5-year-old son AJ around the house. After making his way to the boy’s room, and not finding him, he questioned his ex-girlfriend Joann Cunningham. Joann stated she hadn’t seen AJ and believed him to be in his room, but after finding out that the boy wasn't there, panic began to set in for his mother. After the parents searched the property, along with a nearby park, Andrew called 911 to report his son missing. But when the police arrived, they found the home to be dirty and in a state of disarray. After a day had passed by, both Andrew and Joann stopped cooperating with police, who in turn were looking at the parents… eventually discovering a dark, destructive past between the two that spanned 7 years and included multiple reports to the police and DCFS…

DCFS completely failed this little boy. Shame on them, should be charged for negligence. In addition, hope the two pieces of shit are tortured in prison.

I live in the town where AJ’s body was found. In fact, I was following the story from the moments the helicopters were circling the area day 1. Then, as I was teaching class a few days later, the police cars, search & rescue vehicles circled & he was found a few miles from my school. I was outraged. Still am, actually.
